Frecon Farms

This weekend we headed to Boyertown, PA to go apple picking at Frecon Farms. The kids had a blast, we got to see old friends, family, and the weather was amazing! Couldn't ask for a better fall day!!

First Grade and Pre-K!

The new school year has begun! First Grade has been exciting so far. Andy loves his new teacher, he gets to eat lunch at school in the "Cafetorium", and now has recess! He's a big kid for sure! Rowan's first day was more of an ease-them-in kind of day. It was only an hour and I stayed the whole time, so for him, today will be the true test! Our only snag of the day was the bus (for the second year in a row). School lets out at 3:30, but the bus didn't show up until right before 5pm. Try waiting in the street with a 2 and 4 year old for an hour and a half. . . not easy! But other than that, it was a great start to what will hopefully be a great year!

the best for last: niagara parks botanical garden.

So, I may be alone here. In fact, looking at Yelp reviews, I am totally alone. But IMHO, the Niagara Parks Botanical Garden was the best part of the trip. Here's why: the vegetable garden! It blew. my. mind. There are no pictures that can do justice to how beautiful the surroundings were. The weather was ideal. Henry was napping in the stroller. Rowan and Anderson were free to run in as much open space as they wanted. And I just loved it. That is all. I loved it!

That concludes the Niagara Falls portion of our summer! Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the pictures. It was the perfect little vacation for our family. We couldn't have asked for more! We do not need to go back! Ever! But it will always be fondly remembered as a special time for us! :)
