something to smile about.

Today was a tough day. The kind of day that makes me very, very afraid for Thursday, when Tom goes back to work. But these pictures make me so happy, that now that the older boys are in bed, I can take a deep breath and remind myself of how lucky we truly are.

How beautiful are the fall leaves?

swim class.

Saturday was the boys' last swim class of the year, and it is amazing to see the progress that they have made from the first to the last class. I was bursting with pride as I watched Andy swim across the pool without holding on to the instructor (just a floaty). And Rowan went from crying the first time he got into the pool to jumping and splashing away as soon as he sees the water. Such progress in such a short time! Truly, something to be thankful for!

sweet boys.

I am thankful for my beautiful boys. I love them with all my heart. And I love how much they love each other.

grateful.

It's the month of Thanksgiving, so I am going to honor the spirit of the month by stating something we are  grateful for each time I post. The first is easy, as we are very grateful that Rowan is happy and healthy after taking a hard fall out of the wagon on Halloween onto his sweet little head. We are very lucky and very thankful that he avoided any serious injury.
Speaking of Halloween, up until Rowan's accident, we had an amazing time! We started the day with Andy's preschool parade, carved jack-o-lanterns midday, had a visit from MumMum and Papa, took a hayride, and trick or treated with some of our best friends from school! Andy had a blast knocking on all of the neighbor's doors saying "trick or treat"! It felt like our first real Halloween, now that he is old enough to get and enjoy the concept. And all things considered, he really didn't eat a lot of candy! Success!
