strep by strep. by strep.
That's right! Triple strep! Like lucky 7's! Only, the opposite! Here's patient zero at his finest hour.
I have a feeling that long after the strep is gone, I'm going to be finding him lounging in that very spot, in that very position. He's found a new way to watch tv, and I don't think he's ever going back.

serenity now.
I took these pictures outside of the church this weekend. It really is pretty here. Especially in the stillness of a photograph.
But I still want to move.

pennsylvania travels.
This weekend we packed a whole lot of activity into a short overnight trip to PA. While I was spending the day at my friend Lisa's baby shower, Tom took the boys to an arboretum where they ran themselves so hard that they behaved like (almost) perfect gentlemen at dinner with Lisa and her husband. The next morning after no sleep (thanks, Henry!), we headed over to Frecon Farms for a flash visit with family and some apple and pumpkin picking at the orchard. Then it was back in the car to NY so that daddy could make the trip again the next morning on the train.
fell asleep in the car on the way home from dinner. he woke up at 3 am and never went back to sleep. |

seriously, october?
It's already October 10th, and I am still mentally in September. Things are moving so quickly I can't keep up, as you can probably tell. My camera is full, my storage on my phone is running over, everyone's closets need to be pruned and organized, there are things in the cabinets and fridge that need to be pitched. It's been a lot, adding homework to the nights, on top of soccer and pickups and packing lunches and library books and being special helper at Rowan's school and all the other things we are getting used to (ahem, I'm talking to you, mr. soper). Plus, Rowan now thinks I'm his playmate with Andy off at school. And he still refuses to potty train. And he rarely naps. I am afraid I am missing the whole "smelling the roses" thing right now. Right now, it feels more like "just surviving." But I'm hoping we will get into a groove by the end of this month. . . just in time to add in Halloween and the rest of the holidays!
Good thing they are cute. It's a good, good thing!
