Here's the kindergartener on his way to a very-hot third-day of school. He has music class for the first time today, so he has on his music shirt. You can't tell, but the white wire running through the bones are a set of earbuds. I thought it was appropriate for someone who sits on a stool staring at the computer screen watching every song on the billboard top 100 list on Spotify. (If you're thinking, what's there to look at? I thought Spotify was just music? Then you're right. He watches the time counter count down the seconds on every song, and knows which version of each song is which, based on how many minutes it is). He is unique, that son of ours.
So far he seems to really like school. I'm just hoping the enthusiasm continues. One thing he is adamant about -- he does not like gym class. And he is glad it is Wednesday, because gym is still two days away. He's had gym twice this week, and both days, he refused to participate. The gym teacher (who he's already announced that he does. not. like.) has made it clear that on Friday he at least needs to try. And he started griping and groaning at the bus stop about it this morning. So, let's hope the gym stuff does not color his opinion of school overall, and he can start to make some friends in his class that will help get him involved. . .
Unique. I'm telling you. Unique.

The First Day of Pre-K.
Yesterday was the first day of Pre-K. I think I may have the handsomest school boy. . . ever! Here he is modeling his new big-boy backpack.
Good luck this year, Andy! And stop growing up so quickly!

in love with these valentines!
Andy's Valentine's Day party at preschool is tomorrow, and we just finished up his little valentines for the class. I think they are super cute! Don't think I'm crazy creative, since I saw the idea on Design Mom first. But I am so happy with our handmade version! I think they are pure perfection!
Here's the front:
And this is the back:
And here's the whole cute batch together!
Andy wrote his name on each of the cards (he traces the letters that I've already written) and was really excited to make a valentine for each of his classmates and his teachers!
